What is the red scare?

In the early 1950s the american leaders told the public that there could be
subversive communists influences in their lives and they should be fearful of
it. With communist anywhere and everywhere at the same time, they could
be at your school,your work or even your next door neighbor could be a
communist McCarthy even had communist in the chairs of high governing
jobs. all to aid the world communist domination program.

The Soviet Union had carried out stealth/espionage activities in the United
states previously around WWII

Between 1950 and 1954…

During the time between 1950 and 1954 this was the length of the red scare, McCarthy
wanted to spread fear due to the fact that the communist could and would be anywhere,
they could be around the corner, behind a door, and even could be your next door
neighbor. Joseph McCarthy made sure that anyone who doubted him or had their doubts
about it were seen as unloyal and anyone that decided to confronted him was afraid to
be seen as disloyal.

McCarthyism

McCarthyism which came after the red scare was started due to the red
scare, it was also known as the second red scare. McCarthyism was the act
of accusing government employees of being communist and of political
disloyalty also subversive activities and using unright investigation strategy
to spy on them and prosecute them. The communist who were in the usa were
part of a group called the Communist party of the United States of America
(CPUSA) and even the president during this time dwight eisenhower didn't
even know about the CPUSA.
