Eg.

Mr. Neale is now spending. => Câu diễn đạt thiếu ý.

Mr. Neale is now spending time with a relative. => Câu diễn đạt đủ ý.

Nội động từ (Intransitive)

S + V (+ giới từ + thời gian/địa điểm... hoặc + trạng từ)

Không cần tân ngữ trực tiếp; vẫn diễn đạt câu hoàn chỉnh.

Eg.

Mr. Neale walked. => Câu diễn đạt đủ ý. Nhưng câu chưa hay, chưa rõ.

Mr. Neale walked in the sun. => Câu diễn đạt đủ, rõ ý hơn.

Lưu ý "in the sun" ở cuối câu 2, không phải là TÂN NGỮ, mà là trạng từ chỉ địa điểm, vị trí.
