Colonists were enticed to come to Georgia with the promise of 50 acres of land, one year’s supply of food, and free seed and agricultural supplies for a year. This included a house lot in the city of Savannah, a five-acre garden lot outside of the city, and a 45-acre farm lot beyond the garden lots.

If they paid for their passage, they would be given 500 acres of land.
