Dinosaurs

  • Dinosaurs are a diverse group of reptiles of the clade Dinosauria.

  • They first appeared during the Triassic period, between 243 and 233.23 million years ago.

  • They went extinct about 65 million years ago.

  • Birds evolved from small theropod dinosaurs.

  • More than 300 species of dinosaurs have been discovered.

  • As you know dinosaurs died off about 65 million years ago.

  • The name dinosaur means terrible lizard.

  • There were many different kinds of dinosaurs to.

  • In this lesson you are going to learn all about them.

The Tyranosaurus rex

  • It had about 60 razor sharp teeth good for ripping apart prey.

  • prey - an animal hunted for food.

  • A T-rex could eat over 60 pounds of meat a day.
