As our vital thing is oxygen and food which is mostly provided by plants. Do you know today's topic; of course, photosynthesis and respiration. So lets go ahead without wasting time!!!
2
As we all know, photosynthesis is a process in which plants make their own food. They are autotrophic (auto - self; trophic - nourishment). They use sunlight, carbon dioxide and suitable temperature (but not more than 40 degrees celsius). Even if any one of the elements are missing, then the process will get slow. Photosynthesis occurs in the mesophyll of the leaf. Following is the picture of the mesophyll cell. The by products of photosynthesis are glucose and oxygen .

More on Photosynthesis
Carbon dioxide is taken in and oxygen is given out by stomata. It stays open during morning and closed during night. That is because there is no sunlight during night and it cannot do photosynthesis with sunlight. When the leaves do photosynthesis, they make soluble glucose which is turned to starch and stored temporarily. After that, the starch is converted to sucrose and passed throughout to the plant's body. Photosynthesis is represented as :-

During night, photosynthesis cannot happen. In order to produce energy during that time, plants respirate. They produce a different type of energy called Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP). During respiration, oxygen is taken in and carbon dioxide is given out. They break down glucose for this to happen. Respiration of organisms on Earth are of two different types :- Aerobic and Anaerobic respiration. Following is a diagram of respiration :-
Respiration
5
1) Aerobic respiration utilizes oxygen.
2) It releases an energy of 38 ATP.
3) The glucose is completely oxidized into carbon dioxide, water and energy.
4) It is found in majority of the organisms.
Aerobic Respiration
1) Anaerobic respiration does not utilizes oxygen.
2) It releases an energy of 2 ATP.
3) The glucose is partially oxidized into carbon dioxide, water, energy.
4) It is found in minority of the organisms.
