Future Plan or Intention means things in the form of intentions, plans, hopes, or intentions to be achieved but this one is only limited to desires so it has not been planned in detail.

Asking opinion is used when you want to ask or need an opinion from someone else. There are many ways to ask for an opinion in English, let's look at the following examples:

How do you feel about ...?

Giving Opinion

Before expressing your opinions or ideas, you must know how to start the right sentence. So that others can easily understand your opinion. Take note of the following examples!

Giving Congratulation and Compliment

  • Congratulation is an expression that illustrates that we are pleased with the achievements of others. Sentences of congratulation and compliment need to be said with a joyful expression.

  • The use of the expression congratulation is also often followed by several adjectives with positive meanings. Some examples are: nice, great, amazing, good, excellent, awesome, and fantastic. This means that you are praising how good the achievement is.

What is Descriptive Text?

Descriptive text is a text that explains or describes people, animals or objects. This explanation or description includes shape, nature, quantity, and others.

The Language Features of Descriptive Text

  • Specific participant: has a specific object, is not general and is unique (there is only one). For example: Uncle Jack, Borobudur Temple.

  • The use of adjectives to clarify the noun. For example: a handsome man, a beautiful woman.

  • Use of simple present tense: The sentence pattern used is simple present because it tells the facts of the object being described.

  • Action verbs: there are verbs that show an activity (the activity can be seen). For example: run, walk, cut, etc.
