3. Mesosphere: - Altitude: 50 to about 85 km (31 to 53 miles) - Temperature Range: Decreases from about 0°C (32°F) at the stratopause to around -90°C (-130°F)

4. Thermosphere: - Altitude: 85 to about 600 km (53 to 373 miles) - Temperature Range: Increases significantly with altitude, reaching temperatures of 1,500°C (2,732°F) or higher
