Welcome to World History!
Consider this, history is just one giant story that never ends, and it’s not just
history but YOUR history.
❖
We will begin our exploration of history in 1250 - Modern
❖
All classwork will be made available in Google classroom and it is your
responsibility to complete it on time.
❖
Classwork is due at the end of class
❖
Homework is due at the beginning of class
❖
Late work is ½ off and due NO LATER than 48 hours late

We will not have a midterm, instead there will be a unit test and it is required.

Class Rules
1. Be respectful.
2. Stay in assigned seat until given permission to move.
3. Listen carefully. ASK QUESTIONS
4. No phones, I see it, I take it. No 2nd chances.
5. Use appropriate language.
6. Bring all required materials to class.

Cell Phones, Smart Watches, earbuds
❖ All cell phones, etc. must go in the cell phone station at the
BEGINNING of class
➢ Put your phone, etc. in your assigned number
➢ Do not retrieve your cell phone, etc. until told
❖ Consequences
➢ Phone will be taken and turned in = cell phone violation
❖ Do not touch/ retrieve any phone, etc. that is not yours
➢ Could result in the loss of participation points, minor/ major
infraction write up. Theft will be bad news bears.

Testing
1. Each test will include multiple choice, technology enhanced
and constructed response.
2. We have quizzes and unit exams which will be worth 35%
of your grade
3. DO NOT be absent on test day. You WILL NOT make up
the test without a school approved excused absence

Daily Grades:
❖
These will usually be curriculum activities worth anywhere from 20-100 points each.
❖
Bell Ringer activity will be checked daily
❖
Participation grade: 20pts a day/ 100 pts a week

Arriving to Class:
❖
Homework is due when it’s due, if it’s late you have until the next day to turn it in for half
off.

If you need to speak to me privately

Leaving the room:
❖
Go to the restroom between classes, not during class.
❖
If you are called out of class, wait for me to give you a hall pass
❖
If I must leave class, remain in your seat and continue working.
You have my trust—do not violate that trust.

End of Class
❖
You will not be dismissed until the classroom is tidy and trash is
picked up.
❖
Remain in your seat until dismissed.
❖
When dismissed, place trash in cans as you exit the classroom.

❖
Bring the excuse to the office first in the morning

Ask classmates to help you make up missed work,

If you are absent one day, you have one day to complete the missed
assignments.

Tardy = 5 minutes late, Skipping = 10 minutes late
