The passive voice is used to show interest in the person or object that experiences an action rather than the person or object that performs the action.
In other words, the most important thing or person becomes the subject of the sentence

Definition

Forming Passive Voice

The passive voice in English is composed of two elements :
The appropriate form of the verb 'to be' + past participle.

A: Subject + V1 + Object + Complement
P: Object (Subject) + am/is/are + V3 + by + Object/Pronoun
Example:
A: Ira cleans the house everyday
P: The house is cleaned everyday (by Ira).

Simple Present Tense

Present Continuous Tense

A: S + Be ( am/is/are) + V1 + ing + O/C
P: O (S) + am/is/are + being + V3 + by + S (O)
Example:
A: Ira is cleaning the house at the moment
P: The house is being cleaned (by Ira) at the moment.
A: The students are writing their lessons now.
P: Their lessons are being written by the students now

A: S + have/has + V3 + O +(C)
P: O (S) + have/has + been+ V3 + by + S (O) + (C)
Example:
A: Ira has cleaned the house for two hours.
P: The house has been cleaned for two hours (by Ira).
A: The students have written their lessons since at 07.45.
P: Their lessons have been written by the students since at 07.45

Present Perfect Tense

A: Subject + V2 + Object + Complement
P: Object + was/were + V3 + by + Object/Pronoun

Example:

A: Ira cleaned the house last week
P: The house was cleaned cleaned (by Ira) last week
A: The students wrote their lessons yesterday.
P: Their lessons were written by the students yesterday

Simple Past Tense

A: S + Be ( was/were) + V1 + ing + O/C
P: O (S) +was/were + being + V3 + by + S (O)

Example:
A: Ira was cleaning the house.
P: The house was being cleaned (by Ira).
A: The students were writing their lessons.
P: Their lessons were being written by the students.

Past Contiuous Tense

A: S + had + V3 + O +(C)
P: O (S) + had + been+ V3 + by + S (O) + (C)
Example:
A: Ira had cleaned the house for two hours.
P: The house had been cleaned for two hours (by Ira).
A: The students had written their lessons.
P: Their lessons had been written by the students.

Past Perfect Tense

A: S + will/shall+ V1 + ing + O/C
P: O (S) +will/shall + be + V3 + by + S (O)
Example:
A: Ira will clean the house tomorrow
P: The house will be cleaned (by Ira) tomorrow.
A: The students shall write their lessons tonight.
P: Their lessons shall be written by the students tonight

A: S + would/should+ V1 + ing + O/C
P: O (S) +would/should + be + V3 + by + S (O)

Example:
A: Ira would clean the house.
P: The house would be cleaned (by Ira).
A: The students should write their lessons.
P: Their lessons should be written by the students.
