Once a speech or language delay is diagnosed, a child will usually be prescribed speech therapy, facilitated by an SLP, to help overcome their speech and language challenges. This may be done one-on-one, in small groups, or in their classroom. There are several different strategies that a speech-language pathologist will use to help children.
