Voice Types

• Voice types are a range of voices that sing from low to high.

• There are four main voice types:

  • Soprano

  • Alto

  • Tenor

  • Bass

Sopranos

• Highest voice type in women.

• They sing any range from C4, and up

• Some examples for soprano singers:

  • Lady Gaga

  • Taylor Swift

  • Mariah Carery

Altos

• Lowest voice type in women.

• They sing any range from C4, and down

• Some examples for alto singers:

  • Adele

  • Sara Bareilles

  • Fiona Apple

Tenors

• Highest voice type in men.

• They sing any range from C3 to B4.

• Some examples for tenor singers:

  • Ed Sheeran

  • Burno Mars

  • Michael Jackson

Basses

• Lowest voice type in men.

• They sing any range from D2 to E4.

• Some examples for bass singers:

  • Johnny Cash

  • Travis Scott

  • Frank Oceans

There each good by themself, but when they come together, it makes a beautiful piece.
