Simplifying Expressions with rational exponents

Rational numbers are where any fraction with non-zero denominators is a rational numbers.

In simplifying an expression with rational exponent , it also follows the laws of exponents and the rules of operations on fractions.

The properties of integral exponents can also be applied to rational exponents.

Let 𝑎 and 𝑏 be positive real numbers and let 𝑚 and 𝑛 be rational numbers. The following properties have the same names as those listed on properties of integral exponents, but now apply to rational exponents as illustrated.
