The
Classroom
Quietly.
All civilizations
function under certain laws and established norms. These laws are established to create a safe and
friendly learning environment for students and teachers.
3
Begin the Bell Ringer with
Quality.
Bell ringers will
either prepare
you for
something new,
or review what
you have already
learned. Please begin them
as soon as you
unpack and settle
in.
4
Raise your hand to
speak.
We have a lot of
history to cover. I
appreciate your
comments,
questions, and
observations, just
not when they are
blurted at me or
meant to disrupt
the class. I will call
on you if you raise
your hand. Thank
you for
understanding.
5
The bathroom is limited.
Check for a green light
to make sure it is
appropriate to leave
the room. It will be green at my discretion.
If the lights are red it is not an appropriate time to leave class. I am covering new material or we are in the middle of a learning activity,
There is no bathroom
●During the first 10
minutes of class,
●The last 10 minutes of
class,
●Or while you are
taking a test.
Besides, you won’t want to
miss a minute of this class!

No Gum.
The classroom is not a barnyard. Chomp-clack-chomp-clack.
Gum snapping and bubble blowing is distracting.
Researchers from the Institute of Integrative Systems Biology have analyzed the bacteria from used chewing gums from five different countries. The research shows that oral bacteria persist for a surprisingly long time
when gum is on the ground. I don’t want to find it on my classroom floor or under desks and chairs.
11
Use all classroom
supplies appropriately.
We use post it notes, and
color, and watch videos- all
things that require you to
have your own supplies.
Each day you should have:
- chromebook
- earbuds/headphones
- pencil case with dry erase markers, pencils'pens, colored pencils.
If you need to purchase any supplies you will pay my store prices and I will mark your ROAR Card. Thanks!
12
Charge your
Chromebook Daily.
I will let you charge your
chromebook if it is dead, but it
will be recorded as a technology
offense.
If you can charge your phone,
you can charge your

I take pride in my
room. I think it looks pretty cool. Help me keep it that
way!

need you to meet me halfway.

when not to speak.

you are dismissed. Push your chairs in !

interrupt a surgeon
during an
operation? (if you
answered yes, you are
part of the problem.)
Then don’t interrupt
my work.
