What is
Advertising?
• Advertisements is a means of
communication with the users of a
product or service.
• Advertisements are messages paid for
by those who send them and are
intended to inform or influence people
who receive them.
• Any paid form of nonpersonal
presentation and promotion of ideas,
goods, or services by an identified
sponsor is called advertising.

Where to
advertise?
▪ In today's world, advertising uses every
possible media to get its message through.
▪ Television, Print (newspapers, magazines,
journals, etc.), Radio, Press, Internet,
Direct Selling, Mailers, Posters, Clothes.
▪ Even colors say the
product/brand/company name
▪ Also, we could see advertisements as
Visuals and even people (endorsements),
events, contests, sponsorships, etc.

advertisements
▪In a world of advertisements
competing for consumers, it is
difficult to stand out and capture
audience’s attention.
▪But writing an effective script in
advertisements will reduce the
likelihood of an audience ignoring
company’s message and gain them
the most legitimate exposure.

• Advertisement Copy is the soul
of an advertisement.
• An advertisement copy is all the
written or spoken matter in an
advertisement expressed in
words or sentences and figures
designed to convey the desired
message to the target
consumers.

Basics
• Advertising offers reasons as to why the
consumers are expected to buy the
product of a particular brand.
• Advertising appeals directly to the
intellect or the judgment of an
individual rather than the emotions.
▪ It tries to explain the product qualities
and benefits by giving evidence in the
forms of testimonials, guarantees,
customer experiences, and so on

▪ Radio Script Ads are one of the best
ways to communicate ideas to a new
client.
▪ 30-45 seconds is plenty of time to get
the message across as well as mix in
some music and sound effects
▪ When you record the ad beforehand
and present it to the marketing
department of the radio station it is
called Advertisement Spots.
▪ People remember the last spoken
phrase most.

scripts are a clear message, the right
wording, and some empathy.
▪Live reads- when the host of the
show reads the advertisement in
real-time
▪Sponsorship- when the host will
mention that a particular product
sponsors the show

▪Targeting a specific audience for the
advertisement is important.
