Exceptions to the rule

• Two syllables ending in y. Change to i and add -er

• Example: Pretty --- Prettier / Easy --- Easier

• Two or more syllables. More + adjective + than

  Example: More beautiful than / More expensive than / More handsome than

Exceptions to the rule

• Two syllables ending in y. Change to i and add -est

• BAD --- WORSE --- WORST
