The Mistress of the Copper Mountain is a character of the Ural Mountains folktales collected by Pavel Bazhov. She is a mountain spirit and the owner and protector of hidden treasures. The Mistress of the Mountains has the appearance of extremely beautiful girl with green eyes or a giant lizard with a crown. She wears a dress made of malachite and is always surrounded by tiny lizards.
