  • Enforce the laws

  • Commander-in-Chief of the military

Consists of:

  • President

  • Vice-President

  • Cabinet

  • Interpret laws

  • Decide constitutionality of laws

Consists of two parts:

  • Supreme Court – highest court in the land

  • Nine members

  • Led by Chief Justice

  • Other lower federal courts
