Decimals, Fractions and Percentages are just different ways of showing the same value:

3

Fill in the Blank

Can you tell what number when multiplied to 25 equal to 100?

25 x _______ = 100

4

Please remember that:

To easily change fractions to decimals, you must make sure the denominator is

Example:

The denominator is 2. Try and change it to 10.

                How? Let's put it this way: 2 x ____ = 10?

Exactly! It's 5!!

That means the denominator must be multiplied by 5.

8

From Fraction to Percentage

9

Fill in the Blank

Now you try...

If the denominator is 20, with what number should we

multiply it to make it equal to 100?

10

From Percentage to Fraction

  • To convert a percentage to a fraction, first convert to a decimal (divide by 100),

  • Then multiply top and bottom by 10 for every number after the decimal point (10 for 1 number,100 for 2 numbers, etc)

11

Check the denominators:

If you see the denominators are not 10 or 100 or 1000 please change it first.

Here are some guidelines for you hopefully it can help you along the way...

2 x 5 = 10

5 x 2 = 10

50 x 2 = 100

4 x 25 = 100

2 x 50 = 100

250 x 4 = 1000

25 x 4 = 100

5 x 200 = 1000

4 x 250 = 1000

200 x 5 = 1000
