First graffiti artist
Demetrius, a man who worked as a messenger in New York. He painted his signature on all the places where he delivered. He became famous and many young people began to imitate him and look for difficult places to leave his signature.
He was also called TAKI 183.

The modern history of graffiti dates back to the 1960´s when it began in New York, influenced by hip hop music. the first graffiti artists were dedicated tu signatures, and they lived and painted in New York.
And it had a global impact since they began to have socio-political messages.
