KMT
Kinetic Molecular Theory | with Teacher Dan
Kinetic Molecular Theory (KMT) explains the properties of gases and describes the behavior of gases.

Postulates
Kinetic Molecular Theory
Postulates 1 and 3 state that gases are composed of molecules that move in constant motion. It shows the compressibility of gas and that gases can mix rapidly.
Postulate 2 and 4 explains the property of gases which is the pressure.
Postulate 5 explains that the average kinetic energy of the molecules of any gas depends on only the temperature. At a given temperature, all gaseous molecules have exactly the same average kinetic energy.

Kinetic Molecular Theory
Gases are composed of tiny particles.
There are no attractive forces between molecules.
Gas molecules are always in constant random motion.
The molecules collide classically with container walls and one another.
The movement of gas molecules is affected by temperature. The average kinetic energy of the molecules is directly related to the temperature of a gas.

Kinetic Molecular Theory
KMT also discuss that gases behave identically, regardless of the chemical nature of their component molecules — this is the essence of the ideal gas law. This theory summarizes the explanation of all the gas laws
