VERBS IN PAST

• REGULAR VERBS: Are the ones that have the same ending in both past (past simple / past progressive) this ending is -ED

• IRREGULAR VERBS: Are the ones that have different ending or structure in both past.

Negative (use the auxilary verb DID for all persons)

Subject + did + not + verb simple form + complement.

• To talk about continuing actions.

• We use verb "to be" in past and main verb in gerund (-ing)

• To talk about an interrupting on-going action.

• We were taking a nap when someone knocked the door

PAST PROGRESSIVE

Affirmative:

Subject + was/were + gerund + complement.

She was doing exercise.

Negative:

Subject + was/were + not + gerund + complement.

You weren´t working all day.
