Comparison Degree is a term in English grammar to show comparison. In Comparison Degree, the adjective or adverb will change its form according to the degree of comparison. Therefore, Comparison Degree can also be referred to as Comparison Degree.

In positive degree, the two things being compared are on the same level or comparable, hence the use of the adjective as/adverb as. For example, "You are as pretty as her." means that you are as pretty as her.

In comparative degree, one of the two things being compared is 'more' than the other, so adjective/adverb + -er or more + adjective/adverb is used. For example, "You are prettier than her." means that you are prettier than her.

In the superlative degree, the thing being talked about is the 'most' among others, hence the use of adjective/adverb + -est or most + adjective/adverb. For example, "You are the prettiest girl in school." means that you are the prettiest girl in school.
