Why were big cities in America growing during the Gilded Age?​

​The Gilded Age

• Big cities in the nation were growing thanks to factories, business, and immigration. 

• Cities were beginning to look more promising than rural areas as they offered more jobs and higher wages for everyone.

• By 1900, 30 million people lived in cities, which was about 30 percent of the population. ​

​Therefore, big cities were growing thanks to business, factories, and immigration.
