​How to form the plural?

​The plural is formed by adding just -s to any noun.

​book = books

umbrella = umbrellas

pen = pens

Of course there are exceptions and for these ones there are rules to follow:

​For example:

​Nouns ending in 'o'

​All nouns ending in 'o' we just add -es to the noun.

potato = potatoes

tomato = tomatoes

hero = heroes

Or if the noun ends in =
-x,-s,-ch,-sh,-z = add -es

bus = buses

match = matches

dish = dishes

box = boxes

quiz = quizzes

Also if the noun ends in -f,-fe = Change f, or fe for ves

a leaf = leaves

a wolf = wolves

a life = lives

a knife = knives
