What is the expectation for sharpening a pencil?

• Get up and sharpen it.

• Ask another student.

• Raise my hand showing 1 finger and wait to be called on.

• Do nothing.

I need a tissue, what do I do?

• Raise my hand showing 4 fingers.
• Get out of my seat and get one.
• Use my shirt.
• Do nothing.  Just sit there.

I need a pencil.  What do I do?

• Get up and get one.
• Nothing.  Sit there without one.
• Get one when I come into the room.
• Ask a friend for one.

What is the procedure for coming in the room in the mornings?

• Talk loudly, walk out of the room.
• Socialize with each other.
• Work on homework from the night before.
• Come in, unpack, level 0, read the board.

What is the procedure for going to the bathroom?

• Get up and go when you need to.
• Raise your hand with 3 fingers up if it is an emergency, otherwise wait for the assigned time.
• Yell out, "I need to go to the bathroom."
• Sit there and do nothing.

What should you be doing when the teacher is talking?

• Talking to my neighbor.
• Eyes on the teacher, pencils down, not talking, focused.
• Yelling at somebody across the room.
• Playing on my computer or drawing.

What are the iReady expectations for showing work?

• Guess at everything.

• Ask someone else for all the answers.

• Work out problems in my notebook and ask Mrs. Bowman for help if I get stuck.

• Sit at my seat and do nothing.
