We are respectful on the school bus, when we are doing the following except?

• using school appropriate language

• using voice level 1

• Keeping hands, feet, and objects to ourselves

• Arguing with with another student two seats back

Why should students avoid conflict?

• Spreading rumors could make the conflict worse.

• Conflict helps build a strong school culture.

• Spreading rumors could hurt others feelings.

• Spreading rumors helps build good friendships.

Why is it important to remain seated while the bus is in motion at all times?

• You can not get injured by standing up while the bus is in motion.

• Students could get injured by being jolted backwards when the bus is in motion.

• There is no reason, adults just like to tell the students what to do.

Why is it important to be on time at the bus stop?

• I am the most important person at NWHS and the bus should wait for me.

• The bus picks me up to early, so there is no reason I should be on time.

• If you are not on time it will make the bus driver late picking up other students and could cause all the students on the bus to be late for school.

How should you interact with your bus driver?

• Walk by your bus driver and immediately sit in your seat, it is their job to drive you.

• It doesn't matter, because I am not at school yet.

• Greet your bus driver and say thank you when the bus driver drops you off.

You have no one assigned to sit with you on the way to school today, another student brought a project to school with them and there is two people assigned to that seat. What should you do in this situation?

• Offer to help hold the project since you have extra room.

• Lay down, sleep, and do not worry about other students.

• Smile and greet them and offer no help.

If I see my friend, it is ok to hang my head out the window and wave to them.
