What is the meaning of the statement of the Prophet ﷺ: Whoever does an action that is not from this affair of ours, it shall be rejected?

• It will be accepted

• The people will turn away

• It shall be rejected and returned to him. It will not be accepted nor will it be raised to Allah. That is because Allah did not legistale it.

How can a person determine an action is not an innovation?

• Blind following

• As long as there is no evidence for it from the Book of Allah and the Sunnah, and the Messenger did not do it, nor did he command with it, and it is not from the guidance of the rightly guided caliphs

• The action is beautified

• Based off the majority of the people doing the action

Whom do the innovators follow?

• They are only followers of their desires, and followers of the devils from amongst mankind and the jinn who invent for them these innovations and beautify them for them
