What is learned helplessness?

• To be persistent in any activity or task

• The act of giving up trying as a result of constant failure

Learned helplessness is when....

• A child always wants to do work with a partner

• Children begin to feel like that have no control over the situation.

How can educators help students avoid learned helplessness?
