whats the difference between a PFD and a Lifejacket?

• there is none

• one keeps you airway clear and your head above water even when unconscious while the other just keeps you afloat.

• one has a built in tracker while the other does not

• one of them keeps your head above water and airway clear but only when you're conscious while the other just keeps you afloat

how should life jackets be cared for?

• keep them in a dry open place and make sure there are no rips, they can be dried any way as long as they dry

• make sure there are no rips and they are easily accessible

• it doesn't matter where you keep them as long as you can easily access them.

• keep them in a dry well ventilated easy access place, make sure there are no rips, all the zippers work and you dry them out after use
