Dear Santi,

I'm sorry I haven't written for so long. My family and I have just returned from an interesting holiday at Lake Maninjau near Padang. The lake was a crater surrounded by dense forests and rice fields. We swam in the lake, ate fish from the lake and enjoyed the cool breezes.

After that, we had a two hour trip to Bukit Tinggi, a small hill top down which was clean, cool and friendly. Our trip around the hill took us to the coffee, clove and cinnamon plantation. The traditional Minangkabau houses, with the roof shaped like a buffalo's horn can be seen everywhere.

I really enjoyed my vacation. Do come over and have a look sometime.

Jawa Timur Park

For people in East Java, Jatim Park may have been heard many times because it is one of the famous tourism objects in East Java Province. Jatim Park offers a recreation place as well as study center. Jatim Park is located at Jl. Kartika Baru, East Java. The location is easy to reach because it is only 2.5 kilometers from Baru. This tourist object is about 22 hectares.

Visitors can enjoy more than 36 kinds of facilities that will entertain and educate them. After passing the gate, the visitors will find Gallery Nusantara, continuing further we will step into Taman Sejarah which display the miniature size of famous landmark in East Java like Sumerawan Temple, Custom House of Kiai Hasan Besari Ponorogo and Sumerawan Statue.

Another facility that can be enjoyed is Agro Park. This area has an array of rare crops, fruits and animal diorama which consists of animals that have been preserved. Jatim Park is suitable for family and school recreation. The recreation area sites offer preciuos tour as an alternative media of study.
