2nd chapter of The vendor of sweets by R.k.Narayan

1.Jagan returns home from the shop at the end of the day.

2.Notices his son at the statue of Lawley.

3.Flashback of how his father built the house and resisted the suggestions of renovating of the bathroom ,declaring 'After all,no one expected to live in a bathroom. '

4.Jagan brushes his teeth with a twig of margosa tree.And he refuses to use toothbrushes declaring ' It's unthinkable that anyone should bite a pig's tail first thing in the morning.

5.Flashback of contrasting attitudes towards the health giving activities between Ambika and Jagan.
