Why did Rosa Parks go to jail in 1955 ?

• She trash talked two white men

• She refused to give up her seat

• She killed a white woman

I was an abolitionist who fought against slavery and for women's rights.  I published an antislavery newspaper called the North Star.  I became a consultant to President Abraham Lincoln.

I escaped slavery in Maryland in 1849.  I helped hundreds of slaves travel north on the Underground Railroad.  I also helped John Brown recruit solders for the raid on Harpers Ferry.
