What are ankle slappers?

• Waves so small they will slap your ankles.

• When your board slips and slaps your ankles.

• When the surfer behind you slaps your ankles while paddling out.

Backdoor and Pipeline are the same wave, but different directions. If you are paddling for a wave is Pipeline to your left or right?

• A turn when your but is sticking out

• A turn at the bottom of the wave to get you to the top

• A turn performed as you are moving to the bottom of the wave
