What is academic achievement?

• Help you reach your max potential

• gives meaning to actions

• makes big things achievable

• keeps you accountable

• ALL THE ABOVE

What does S.M.A.R.T stand for?

• specific, measurable, achievable, relevant & time-bound

• scientific, molecules, atoms, recharge, total

• similies, metaphors, assonance, manuscript, theory

• study, memorize, announce, rewrite, try

If I work hard in school I....

• will be prepared for higher education & life after high school

• will improve my self-esteem

• can potentially earn scholarships

• ALL OF THAT! THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!

To earn honor roll, I must...

• Earn nothing lower than a C

• Earn nothing lower than a B- (80-82)

• Earn nothing lower than an A

• earn nothing lower than a D

To earn HIGH honor roll, I must..

• bride my teacher with snacks

• Not fail any classes

• Earn nothing lower than a A+

• Earn nothing lower than an A- (90-92)

If I need assistance or have questions on my materials, I should ask clarifying questions..

• ASAP- in class, after class, or via email after school

• the day before an assignment is due

• right before handing an assignment in

• 3:00 am ----at least my teacher will think I tried...

What resources are available to me if I need help?

• Communicating with my teacher face to face or via email

• Schedule an appoint with my school counselor

• asking a friend

• A tutoring program such as National Junior Honor Society

A late assignment is...

• an assignment that is turned in any time AFTER the due date/time

• an assignment that is 3-5 days late

• an assignment that is a week late

• an assignment that is 8 hours late

How will I know the assignment is marked late in Genesis?

• You won't know “¯\_(ツ)_/¯“

• It will say the words "MISSING ASSIGNMENT"

• It will be marked with an "M"

• your teacher will tell you
