What is personal space?

• The space you leave between you and another person

• When a person goes into outer space as an astronaut

• Asking for permission before hugging someone

How can you tell where someone's personal space is?

• Stand next to them and see when they yell

• Look at the big bubble around them

• Put your arms out in front of you and stand that far away

What are the consequences if we do not respect personal space?

• The person will feel uncomfortable

• The person will ask you for a cookie

• The person might show anger

• The person will like you

What should you do if you want to hug or touch someone (invade their space)?

• Do it and see what they respond

• Ask them if it is okay first

• Don't ever do it

What can you say to someone if you don't like them in your space?

• You are gross

• I'm feeling uncomfortable, can you step back?

• You are being mean to me

• I will never speak to you again

When is it ok not to use the space saver?

• When you are in school

• When you are angry

• When it is crowded and there is no where else to go
