How much can you assume about what is happening in this child’s life?

•  Probably not very much.

• Abandoned and homeless.

 Does the likely environment and looks affect your decision?

• Yes

• No

What might be the consequences of doing so?

• Am I encouraging child being used for begging?

• Look at his condition, poor urchin really needs help.

What about his parents?

• Would you probe?

• Ignore

 If they are nearby and you give them money, would you simply be feeding their ploy used for begging?

•  Possibly yes.

• Maybe not, they may spend that money getting food and clothes.

Rather than giving to this child, would it not be better to donate to a charity. Would you do that?

• No

But then that way I am not helping this child, so will you finally help the child with money or donate food and clothing for him?

• Instead of giving money let me give help in kind.

• Why to bother so much, let’s give money, after all  I will get punya( saintly rewards) for this.
