She prepares the required materials (paper, pencils, crayons, scissors, and markers) and sets up the writing center by creating workstations for each child. She provides direct instruction by creating a model invitation and shows the students what they need to do. Students will need to follow the instructions provided by the teacher; they will create and write invitations similar to what she created. With indirect instruction for a writing activity, on the other hand, the teacher will plan multiple writing activities and set up multiple writing centers.
