Why is organization so difficult?

• Other people always move your stuff.

• You have a lot of stuff and you're always on the move

• Your teachers give you too many papers to keep track of.

• Your locker is too crammed with books and papers.

Why does the SOAR Binder make organization simple?

• It groups all my notes into one giant pile.

• Your teacher keeps the binder in their classroom so you don’t lose it.

• It's only one item to remember and it's easy to access.

• You can carry more papers in a binder than you can in a notebook/folder.

Why should you create a "paper station" at home?

• To store last year’s school work you completed.

• To have loose leaf paper available for homework.

• To keep your parents informed about what's happening at school

• To save papers to use as "study guides" for midterms and finals.

• Your living space must be organized before your school work can be.

What is the #1 way to keep your book bag organized?

• Empty it out at home each day after school.

• Only use it for books, and carry all other papers separately.

• Don't put loose papers in your bag; put all papers in your binder.

• Put all papers in a pocket separate from the main pocket for books.

Why is it so important to keep your space organized?

• Cluttered spaces are overwhelming, distracting, and cause you to lose more things, more often.

• It keeps your parent/guardian(s) happy.

• It keeps your teachers happy.

• To hide stuff from parents or siblings.

Specific types of music help promote concentration because…

• it keeps you from getting bored while doing your homework.
