My Soccer Experience

 

Hello, let me introduce myself. My name is Thomas Detrio, you can call me Thomas. I would like to tell you about my soccer experience. It happened when I was in eight grade of junior high school. I was around thirteen at that time. I joined the soccer extracurricular. I had to practice soccer every Friday and Sunday. We practiced it in our schoolyard after class. My coach was Mr. Hermawan; he was so kind and funny. He told us how to kick the ball, block the ball, and other tricks.

 

He guided us in every soccer competition that we participated in. According to him, winning or losing the game was not the priority; the most important thing for us was we could experience the real competition with other teams from other schools. He was so disciplined; if one of his soccer players came late, he would punish him.

 

Continue talking about my soccer experience, there was a soccer competition at SMPN 2 Pringsewu. He announced it and asked us to practice hard. He promised that if we became the first winner, we would go to the beach. He couched us for 2 weeks for the competition.

 

The competition started in the beginning of August. We were very nervous. Along the competition, we faced many teams. We made many goals. And at the end of the day, the master of ceremony announced that our team was the first winner. He asked one of us to the stage for the trophy. We were so happy; we yelled and laughed happily.

 

The day after, we are welcomed by all students and teachers in the school ceremony. The principal gave us a thankful expression and treated us to go to the beach on Sunday. That is my unforgettable soccer experience. I also joined the soccer extracurricular while I was in Senior High School.
