Writing a Letter to Argue for a Cause

What do you want to get done? Think of causes that are important to you. It does not have to be a world changing cause. It can be a change to a rule, raising money to support a group you like, or even changing a law.

Who are you trying to persuade? This would be your direct address and the person or group you are asking to do something.

What do you want your reader to do or change?

Why do you think this should be done? Think of at least 3 reasons that the reader should help with this problem.

What is your call to action?

Do you want your reader to be sad about this subject, angry about the problem, or excited enough to help? What is the tone you want to set for your reader?
