Mount Chaio, a mystical site 3600 ft above sea level, is home to a gravity-defying monument steeped in ancient mythology. A legend tells of a king who, upon receiving a strand of Buddha's hair from a hermit, built a pagoda on a rock shaped like the hermit's head. The rock, found at the ocean's bottom, was placed atop Mount Chipo, fulfilling the hermit's wish. This site, known as the Chop Pagoda, is a revered shrine in Burma, believed to be held in place by Buddha's powers. Visitors are drawn by its miraculous aura, hoping their prayers will be answered.
