VOICED : Lula a juicio por obstruir la justicia en fraude a Petrobras

Former Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva is set to face trial for allegedly attempting to obstruct investigations into a major corruption scheme involving Petrobras. This marks the first time the historic leader of Brazil's left will be tried. The Petrobras fraud, which lasted a decade, involved over $2 billion and benefited various businessmen, politicians, and state officials. Lula has also filed a complaint with the UN Human Rights Committee, alleging power abuse against him. Additionally, he is under investigation for receiving bribes from construction companies to secure Petrobras contracts. Judge Ricardo Leite has accepted charges against Lula and several associates, including a prominent banker and a former Senate leader.
