Professor Chang-Beom Eom, a Material Science and Engineering expert at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, focuses on the synthesis and calculation of oxide thin film materials. Despite being abundant, oxides have untapped potential, especially in electronics. His research aims to understand these materials' fundamental properties to enhance electronic devices' speed, energy efficiency, and density. With new funding, his team, including graduate and undergraduate students, has made significant discoveries in material behavior at interfaces, promising advancements in future electronic applications.
