Scientists discovered translucent fish without scales in the Pacific Ocean, specifically in the Atacama Trench. These fish, temporarily named pink, blue, and purple Atacama snailfish, can withstand extreme pressure. Their hardest bones are in their inner ear, aiding balance and teeth function.
