How we think about professional development

Real PD takes more than one session.

Our pathways run across the implementation year, so teachers learn something, use it, and come back with questions.

We start from what’s already happening.

Your teachers have already chosen Wayground. Training turns that choice into instructional impact you can measure.

Adoption is the real measure.

A teacher who sat through a session and a teacher who changed their practice after are two different results.

Choose a starting point

Pathways and workshops are grouped by the instructional practices your teachers are already using, customized to your subject areas, grade bands, and calendar.

Support that lives where your coaches already work

Your instructional technology coaches are usually a team of one. Find the Resource Hub in Wayground, so the person supporting three hundred teachers isn't building materials from scratch.

The Resource Hub includes short modules, ready-to-run session resources, best practices, and the step-by-step guides they need to answer questions right away.

Build a bench of certified teachers and coaches

Game Changer course

Teachers learn practical classroom strategies, join a community of certified educators worldwide, and get early access to new features.

AI Certification course

They build expertise in Wayground AI, earn the credential, and become the person colleagues can turn to for practical AI guidance.

Innovator courses

Self-paced certification program designed to make the most of the Wayground’s engagement tools for specific subjects like Math, Science, ELA, and Social Studies.

How districts made the most of these

One district ran a contest instead of a mandate. The campus with the highest share of certified teachers won a staff breakfast, and certification turned into something schools competed for.

Another started with its instructional technology coaches. Once they were certified, they ran the teacher sessions themselves, on their own calendar.

How districts fund professional development

Professional development usually comes out of a different line than software. Title II-A supports PD, so it often stays available in a year when there's no room to expand licenses. Whether it applies to you depends on your state and on your own needs assessment. We can show you what other districts have used and write up the details for whoever has to justify the spend.

Let's find a way

Tell us where your teachers are today and what impact you want to see by spring. We'll come back with a pathway, not a catalog.
