It is fine for a student with low blood sugar to walk to the clinic without an escort.

If a student in your classroom has a low blood sugar, it would be better to treat it with juice, soda (not diet) or peppermint candy than with a Hershey’s chocolate bar.

Your class is going on a field trip and will be eating lunch at a fast food restaurant. Notify parent/guardian in advance so that plans can be made for the student to eat fast food like the rest of the class.
