Plans, prepares and delivers lessons to meet the needs of all students. Sets and marks work and records student development as necessary.

Responsible for the leadership and management of a particular subject. Class teachers may oversee an area of the curriculum as part of their professional duties.

Plays a major role in managing the school, particularly when the headteacher is absent. Often responsible for a curriculum area and/or specific areas of management

Responsible for day-to-day provision for students with SEN. May be part of another role or a standalone role.

In charge of a nursery or other early years setting, including staffing and finances

Has overall responsibility for a school, its staff, its students and the education they receive.

Responsible for the welfare and development of children within the EYFS. May work at an early years setting or in a reception class.

Supports teachers with classes and/or individuals. Provides intervention support and helps teachers to observe behaviours and prepare resources and displays

Leads and manages either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. Usually also have a class teaching commitment
