Sir/ Ma’am we regret the inconvenience caused to you, please accept our apologies. Dealer commitments on delivery are getting impacted due to increase in global shortage of semiconductors and global supply chain constraints. Since MG cars are high on precision and have more advanced features our cars require more onboard chips, hence there is a delay in delivery. However, MG is trying to ramp up chip procurement & production so that your chosen car gets delivered to you soon.
Same variant booked in X location on Y date is getting delivered but not to me in my city. Why this variation?
Sir/Ma’am I understand your concern and would like to offer my apology to begin with, vehicle allocation depends on factors such as: 1) Sequence of your booking in All India orders 2) Availability of variants 3) Chip related parts and 4) Specific sequence of your order at your desired dealer. Global shortage of semi-conductors has also contributed to the same. We strictly follow All India sequence at variant level. It may be possible that your variant maybe booked more in your town leading to some mismatch versus another city. However, we ensure strict adherence to your order booking sequence and try to service on FIFO basis.

Sir/Madam, while we are working constantly to keep our customers updated, still we understand and would like to apologize for the issue. Currently, there is a global shortage of semi-conductors and shipping containers across the industry which has led to a supply chain constraint. To keep our customers updated, information on delivery against each booking ID is being constantly updated and details are visible in My MG App

Let me share that the timeline shown in MY MG App is subject to several variables such as variant type, customer demand, supply chain etc. Changes in any of these variables can have an impact on the delivery timeline. The interesting part is that our esteemed customers like you prefer the top variant, these are high in-terms of features and quality versus any competition. This in turn creates pressure on our supply chain to procure more sophisticated chip parts in today’s time of global shortages and uncertainties.

Also, if we see trend in the industry, price protection is not a standard practice, and you would be aware that the prices at the time of delivery are applicable. However since you are a precious customer, MG will sponsor a girl child’s education on your behalf when your car gets delivered, additionally as a goodwill gesture accessories are being offered free of cost towards waiting for our vehicles. The options will be visible in MY MG App for you to choose
