What is the present continuous tense?

• We use the present continuous tense to talk about what is happening right now

• It's English equivalent is "-ing"

• Estoy hablando = I am talking

How do we form the present continuous?

• The present continuous is called a compound tense

• This is because it's made up of two parts:

• Estar (conjugated in the correct person)

• The present participle
