Do you remember how to say "TO GO TO SCHOOL"?

To say where someone is going, use the verb ir

Here are its present tense forms...

The verb is always followed by an "a"

• For example, to say where someone is going use IR + A + LOCATION

• Voy a la biblioteca --> I'm going to the library

• Tú vas a la escuela --> You're going to school

• To say what activity someone is going to do, use IR + A + INFINITIVE (VERB)

• Mis amigos van a correr --> My friends are going to run

• Mi hermano Julio va a estudiar --> My brother Julio is going to study

A + EL = AL

• Remember when DE + EL made DEL?

• Well, the same thing happens when you use A and EL

• Yo voy al cine = I'm going to the movies

• Martina va al parque para correr = Martina is going to the park to run
